On Realising Gaia's Worth

When I awake with big ideas
or burdened with my deepest fears,
now filled with hope or dark despairs,
will you let me be me?

If I should choose to bear this state,
accepting it as precious fate -
a life to which I can relate -
would you let me be me?

When I become obsessed with Truth,
as passionate as teenaged youth,
and find Authority uncouth,
will you let me be me?

When I go off to save the Earth -
on realising Gaia's worth -
if I pronnounce my nature "Peace"
and "Love" and "Joy"
and seek release -
a way to set my spirit free -
will you let me be me?
